...and what if we were, all together, a body? ...and what if we act, all together, like a body, having one head and many members and one purpose?
What if we who are leaders put aside our preferences, and instead empowered and placed emphasis on and support under the strengths of those who follow us? What if ministries actually and authentically grew, reflecting a genuine community thirst for the knowledge of God, rather than a shifting of membership from one denomination to another? What if, on the one hand, we are may members and, on the other, part of each other? How now do we live? How now should we?
I'm in Accra this weekend, because my younger brother, Jeremy, is about to go off to his Senior Year in High School. Craziness. What am I supposed to think about that? Don't know, but he's definitely heading out in 2 days. Wow Wow Wow.
At present, the ride down has us all tuckered out, so I am mainly writing about the first thought. Leaders who lead with integrity, purpose, conviction, and trust in the Lord. O, Lord, raise up Your own people.
May the next post be clearer, and perhaps more helpful. The urge to lie down is overpowering!
One body. One Lord. Unity.
