How, with life, work, and satisfaction, is one ever to cope with failure? I mean, not that many do not already make their way down this road daily, but to those who have AND know a sense of purpose: what is it like to fall short? Consider the implications thereof, as well. How does this affect others like us who might rely, knowingly or otherwise, on the completion of a particular task on our part? By extension, then, how does this affect the grand scheme of purpose-minded individuals everywhere? O, the impact of a decision! To have the theoretical influence to set back or advance the entirety of my brothers and sisters! Of course, this is to say nothing of similar and dissimilar purposes, which may be one of the reasons for the general continuity--I do not say general improvement, in any sense--of humanity and all with which we share this space.
We're in Ghana now, in Accra. We hope to go home tomorrow, to Nkwanta. It is good to be back with this side of familiarity. By that, I mean that I haven't lived here for any significant length of time--more than one month--since 2008 or 2009. This time, I will be here for about one year, anticipating teaching and preaching at various times.
My passion is that everyone, especially Christians (and even more especially nominal Christians) and leaders thereof, understand and appropriate the truths and God's promises associated with having their identities rooted in Christ, so that they will be challenged either to accept or reject the abundant life to which God has called everyone. Read 2 Peter chapter 1, verse 3.
So, First Assignment: Answer this question. Who are you?
Write it down somewhere, for your future perusal. Write as much as needs to be written. I suppose you'll have an assignment every now then. Take your time. Get started.
